Title: Prohibits Public Airports from Contracting with a Private Third Party to Provide Expedited Security Checkpoints
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits public airports from contracting with a private third party to provide expedited security checkpoints unless the third party has obtained security lanes from the Transportation Security Administration
Prohibits public airports that provide commercial services from entering agreements that allow third party vendors to provide expedited security screening in the standard or TSA Precheck lanes (Sec. 1).
Exempts agreements entered before January 1, 2025 (Sec. 1).
Exempts agreements between third party vendors and public airports that obtained dedicated TSA security lanes for that third party vendor specifically (Sec. 1B).
Specifies that airlines under Part 121 of Title 14 are not third party vendors therefore this section above does not apply (Sec. 1C).
Exempts any reimbursement under this act (Sec. 2).
