Vote to pass a bill that requires proof of a legal presence in the United States to obtain a driver's license or identification card, and prevents non-citizens from obtaining a driver's license or identification card longer than their legally documented period of tenure in the United States.

Highlights:

- Requires an applicant for a driver's license or identification card to verify their social security number through the social security administration. Applicants without a social security number must verify that they are still legally present within the country [sec. 2 (2) & sec. 4 (6)]. - Requires that the expiration date of a non-citizen's driver's license or identification card be the same date as the end of that individual's lawful stay in the country, as provided by the Department of Homeland Security. If a final date for lawful residency in the country is not provided, that individual's license or identification card will expire one year from the date of issuance [sec. 3 (3) & sec. 5 (3)].
