Title: Reviews for Potential Railroad Sites
- Requires railroads to evaluate the potential impacts on agricultural land areas, state parks, environmentally sensitive areas, water resources, air quality, noise level, and traffic at any proposed major rail project sites (Sec. 1). - Prohibits a railroad from utilizing eminent domain until after ADOT's review process is completed (Sec. 1). - Requires ADOT to hold at least one, and up to three, public hearings, with citizens' comments being forwarded to any federal, state, or local regulatory bodies that oversee the proposed project (Sec. 1). - Calls for both the hearings and review process to be completed within 120 days of ADOT receiving the required evaluations from the railroad (Sec. 1).
