Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I believe ONE VOICE can make a difference! I believe it can make the difference when others loose the real reason one is elected to public office, to carry the voice of those who have elected them. Montanas are tired of paying high personal property taxes and income taxes to support a system of government that seems only to grow. My vision is to speak of accountability, are the programs doing what they were set out to do? Is the funding going where it does the most good? I do not believe in just pouring more funds into something and not seeing results. If it is not working, let's change it! We need people helping people not government supporting individuals.
Public Safety is a major concern in my district. Billings is in dire need of a "belt line" around the city. It has been studied for over 20 years and the numbers are there, but not the funding.
We must improve the business climate in this state, develop more of our natural resources, stop talking about it and "get-er-done". We have the technology within our state to do this and reclaim our lands when done. This will provide an enormous amount of good paying jobs and add to our tax base.
Public land access is also a huge issue, Montana has lost many miles of forest roads over the years. Access to state and public lands is precious and need to be protected.
