Favorite President and Why:

Andrew Jackson strengthened our nation, eliminated national debt, abolished the federal bank and represented the people instead of the elitists and corporations.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I have no ties to Washington D.C. and I am not controlled by any political party. I am running for U.S. Congress as a third party candidate because the two major parties have been corrupted by corporate sponsorship. Big banks have lobbied for legislation that allowed them to gamble on foolish loans with too much leverage, bringing our nation and the world to the brink of economic collapse and caused the loss of eight million jobs. Oil companies have lobbied for legislation that limited their liability, so that BP didn't feel the need to practice safety and this resulted in the Gulf oil spill which caused immense damage to natural resources and the loss of jobs and economic hardship. I would push for a ban on corporate contributions to political campaigns. I do favor reduced regulation for small companies because they have smaller impact on the environment and they create the most jobs (while big companies tend to outsource jobs).
Our borders need to be secured to stop the flow of toxic illegal drugs into America and to end the drug cartels that kill Americans, harm communities and threaten the stability of local governments in America. After the borders and ports are secured then a lack of foreign drugs will put most drug dealers out of business and the remaining low level of drug crime could be handled by local law enforcement.
