Reason for Seeking Public Office:
Because I live in the rural outskirts of Phoenix, I have a keen understanding of what makes both our urban and rural environments tick. Legislative District 1 deserves a State Representative that has an understanding of its rural needs and can appreciate the balance between its proximity to Phoenix and its desire for autonomy.
My wife and I have called Cave Creek home since 1995 and we've raised our family to have an appreciation of the rural lifestyle while also exposing them to big-city life in neighboring Phoenix. Phoenix is a wonderful city, but rural Arizona has different priorities, such as private property rights, water use, and natural resource management.
Arizona was built on the backs of people who weren't afraid of a hard day's work, or of getting dusty under the hot sun, and that's what you can count on from me -- hard, honest work. I'm an everyday man wanting to work for everyday people.
I've watched our elected officials tackle some challenging and polarizing issues the last few years. At times, I've felt that only some interests were being represented. I will stand up for you. That's why I'm running for State Representative in Legislative District 1.
