Priority Issues:
I believe government is too big and infringes on our liberty. As your Senator, I will work with other conservatives to reduce spending, cut taxes, and shrink the size of government. I will fight to cut red tape on small businesses so they can prosper and create jobs. You can always count on me to defend our traditional Mississippi values of life, marriage, and support for the Second Amendment.
Reason for Seeking Public Office:
Our son Evan, who is three years old, likes to ask "Why?". And, I have gotten this question a lot lately from friends, family and members of the community about throwing my hat in the State Senate race. "Why?"
The answer is very simple. You see, the young people in this beautiful photograph are my three boys (Ethan, Ellis and Evan) and my nephews and niece (Garrett, Riley and Marleigh Myers). I feel an urgent responsibility to do my part to enhance the future opportunities for these children, and all of the children of District 18. Will these children have future job opportunities available for them at home? Will they be forced to look for jobs elsewhere? Or, will they have the option to move home and serve their community as my sister (Dr. Jessica Myers) and I have chosen to do?
