Reason for Seeking Public Office:
Seneca, a Roman philosopher, said "It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that things are difficult."
What is difficult about running for the Kansas State Senate? It takes a lot of time and money. It takes a huge commitment from family, friends and me. Daunting? Yes. Overwhelming? No.
My contemporaries and I thought we could change the world. Then we got busy leading, working and achieving success in the business world. I believe it is time to give back. To dare to make a difference in the challenges the state is facing.
