What is the Political Courage Test?

Presidential Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Medical decisions are the responsibility of the patient and the doctor.
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
These are paid for programs by the participants and workers and are entitlement in political terms only.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Money is not speech and corporations are not people. Elections should be about the representation of the ideas of the people not the largest campaign contributions. This distorts the popularity of the message or the candidates and leaves those with little media exposure the candidates with no significant donations. I fully support shorter election cycles, term limits, abolishing the US Senate, and public funding of elections.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
I support an end to all overseas wars for expansion or regime change. I support removing American bases from overseas and encouraging peace instead of war. I support ending the sales of arms to any country overseas and the distribution of those same arms to any police forces throughout the country.
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
The effective tax rate of corporations is the lowest in any civilized nation. Corporate social responsibility begins when businesses pay their fair share of taxes. The largest companies: Amazon, WalMart, etc. are taking the largest profits and paying the lowest wages and also getting tax refunds.
Yes Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
I support a minimum standard of education and would expect states to set standards that far exceed those standards.
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I support the end of subsidies to oil and natural gas as a way to end the war on technology.
Yes Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I believe we need to enforce the existing laws with expanded background checks for every transfer of guns.
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
I believe in Universal Healthcare as a human right and the expansion of an Improved Medicare for All.
No Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
No Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I support the prosecution of the employers of illegal immigrants. I support the reform of immigration laws in the United States to create a clear path to citizenship for both those who are here and those who want to come here.
No Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I support an end to all wars for regime change and support the self-rule of peoples wherever they live in a peaceful relationship with their neighbors.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
I support the end of the stupid trade war with China. I believe in fair trade, not free trade.
I feel sad that nobody acknowledges the fact that someone who is unemployed is running for president. My priorities are to change the government to working for corporations and greed to one that supports its citizens with their taxes. I want to end the wars on Drugs, Terrorism, Technology, and Women. I want to rebuild our infrastructure with renewable energy owned by the communities it serves. I want to make sure everyone has basic medical coverage. I want families to be able to support themselves on one income. I want the government to work for the people.
