Life begins at conception. The young woman makes the choice to be a mother when she engages in sexual activity. The choice needs to be made at that point, not after she is pregnant. 9 months and an adoption is a small price to pay to avoid a murder of an innocent baby.

Yes a) Issuing the early release of certain non-violent offenders
No b) Increasing tuition rates at public universities
Yes c) Instituting mandatory furloughs and layoffs for state employees
No d) Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients
No e) Privatizing certain government services
Cut size of governement, including programs and agencies that duplicate others. Many have hundreds of employees with very high wages and benefit packages, not to mention the overhead for office space and maintanance. This would leave the money to fully fund essential people in the government positions. This includes schools, years ago the Superintendant and the Principal handled each school, now there are all kinds of highly paid assistants to these positions, this extra managerial baggage in all levels of education, needs to be dropped.
I would like to see a fair tax and cut out the IRS altogether. It would me nice for everyone, who had money (including underground, cash only, odd jobs, illegal money collectors) paid their fair share of taxes, when they spent their "millions". The cost of preparing taxes and the IRS system is broken, why not start with something fresh? Not really a rate adjustment, but everyone pays when they make their purchases.
c) The public sector has suffered more in the job losses than the state employees and there are still extra people on the state payroll, that are making too much money or who's positions are not essential to function of programs they administer. The economy has forced private sector employees out of work and it is not nice to continue to coddle the state employees as the expense of the whole state, right under the noses of the unemployed private sector.

Yes 4) Political Party
Yes d) Should candidates for state office be encouraged to meet voluntary spending limits?
Yes e) Do you support requiring full and timely disclosure of campaign finance information?
The above require candidates to approach and be supported by many different people and organizations and that is a safety net to indicate they have widespread support rather than a campaign run by one interest, resulting in a representation of a single-minded, narrowly focused legislator
Yes a) Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes b) Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders, such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?

Yes e) Should a minor who sends sexually-explicit or nude photos by cell phone face criminal charges?

Yes g) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
Parents of minors should be held responsible for their childrens actions and they, without compensation for it should administer and oversee the probation and control of the child. If they refuse they should bear the cost burden of the incarceration and state control of this child.

No b) Do you support requiring background checks on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?

No g) Do you support allowing doctors to prescribe marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes?
f) and g) I need to take some time researching these and feel each would need to have a lot of controls and restrictions in place to not get out of hand. For instance, medical marijuana, should be limited to administration inside a medical facility only, and physician-assisted suicide should only be performed after a reasonable waiting period, to allow for healing or improvement or all family to become "aware" and have an opportunity to be unified on the decision.
Yes a) Should marriage only be between one man and one woman?
No b) Should Arizona allow same-sex couples to form civil unions?
Yes c) Do you support state funding for stem cell research?
No d) Do you support state funding for embryonic stem cell research?
No e) Do you support the state's use of affirmative action?
No f) Do you support the inclusion of sexual orientation in Arizona's anti-discrimination laws?
No g) Do you support the inclusion of gender identity in Arizona's anti-discrimination laws?
I am a strong believer in "if you don't love Arizona, leave it" that goes for people who just have to be different. There is no way to change the bias against unnatural behaviors in the general population and it is not the public outrage I fear at the acceptance of homosexual relationships but the open practice of this, leads children to believe it is acceptable and actually it is, by clearly defined principals, "An Abomination" and will cause ruin in our society.
Educational Kiosks in every DES office where people applying for foodstamps will be required to review an educational program and take a test that explains the financial source of the resources they recieve, (that one day they will be able and required to help others through their own taxes), how to manage the money, foodstamps, ahhhcs benefits with efficiency, as to reduce costs to the state (and possibly be able to reduce the benefit amount if recipients are trained to use less), including teaching to use the doctors more sparingly via basic home care principles, before rushing off to DR.

Vote Smart does not permit the use of its name or programs in any campaign activity, including advertising, debates, and speeches.
