  • "More and more taxes! When will City and State officials realize that we the people of Illinois have had enough! No new taxes! This will hurt the residents of the Third District that reside in Chicago. I will fight to make sure that there are no new taxes!" (twitter.com)
  • "No new taxes! Voters in #IL03 are over-taxed as it is!" (twitter.com)
  • " This would nearly double the total amount of money spent by the federal government annually, requiring massive tax hikes on all Americans, not just the wealthy. "Medicare for All" would severely limit access to doctors, stop people from being able to see their current physician, increase doctor and hospital wait times, and overload our emergency rooms." • "Our energy policy must take an aggressive and forward-looking approach. We must use all our nation’s resources and fully take advantage of our American ingenuity. Our policy must be comprehensive, knowing that we will not be completely changing from a fossil fuel-based economy overnight, but forward-thinking, knowing that we must move to more sustainable, renewable energy sources. No American energy plan is complete without the use of natural gas, solar, wind, and nuclear power. We can fully balance being energy independent, protecting our environment and growing our economy to create jobs for American workers." (mikefricilone.com)
  • "Marie Newman’s plan, "The Green New Deal," is completely unrealistic, irresponsible and would have devastating effects on our economy. Her plan would ban all oil production and eliminate the production of clean natural gas which has been a significant step in the United States’ recent success at reducing carbon emissions. It also would eliminate all nuclear energy, which is 100% emissions-free and makes up 50% of our energy in Illinois. It would make nearly every gasoline or diesel-powered car and truck illegal- unless it was retrofitted with a non-fossil fuel engine, forcing commuters and our truck drivers off American roads and grinding our supply chains to a halt at a time when we have learned just how much we rely on those supply chains and it would raise prices on nearly every single consumer good. The plan would require that we ‘retrofit every building in America,’ meaning that your house, apartment, and place of work would all need their heating and cooling systems removed and replaced with technology that would be much more expensive and isn’t even invented yet. It would bankrupt our airlines and force the construction of trillions of dollars of unrealistic and unwanted high-speed rail systems and kill off the largest employers in our district around Midway Airport. This extreme plan is not in line with the mainstream, commonsense values of our community." (mikefricilone.com)

  • "But that doesn’t mean we should tear down our entire healthcare system. Working people of the 3rd District should always be able to keep their employer-based and union-negotiated insurance. We can improve our current healthcare system with forward-thinking policies that lower costs and improve access while ensuring no one loses access to their doctors and all pre-existing conditions are covered." (mikefricilone.com)
  • "We can do better. Republicans and Democrats must come together in Washington and bring forward a comprehensive solution that keeps the best parts of Obamacare, like protections for pre-existing coverage, while driving down healthcare costs." (mikefricilone.com)

  • "The recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic demonstrates that now, more than ever, the United States must stop the outsourcing of jobs and increase our manufacturing capacity and investment here at home. With the USMCA’s entry into force, we take another giant step forward in reaching this goal and advancing pro-worker trade policies." (www.facebook.com)
  • "The #USMCA is good for the citizens of #IL03. I support it!". (twitter.com)
