Presidential Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
This is a Tenth Amendment issue and should be left up to the states. I am pro-adoption, and believe that we need to make the adoption process easier for couples and women who do not believe that they can raise their child.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
No, but there should be no more cuts to COLA's nor increases in the retirement age for Social Security or Medicare, Part A or B.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Campaign finance laws should be enacted preventing corporations, unions, or Super PAC's from financing political campaigns. Only individuals should fund campaigns.
Yes Do you support increasing defense spending?
Yes, but by bringing the troops home from the Middle East and reinvesting those funds in updating some of the military's aging hardware. The safety and well being of our active and reserve servicemembers need to get a higher priority than it has. Too often, medical and training benefits for our veterans have been voted down because influential politicians have animosity toward other elected officials.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
I have supported reducing business tax rates, especially for small and medium-sized businesses that create 90% of the new jobs in our economy. However, there are still hundreds of billions in special corporate tax breaks, investment tax credits, loopholes, accelerated depreciation, and loopholes that have literally been bought through large political contributions to the two major parties.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
We need to get the federal government out of schools, healthcare, the economy, your Internet, phone calls, and personal life. The Founding Fathers intended the federal government to have a very small role to play, addressing mainly national defense and foreign affairs. Since the federal government began interfering in local schools in 1966, SAT test scores and IQ test scores have been declining every year, creating an $18,000 per year per student government run monopoly.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Instead, remove the taxes, regulation, red tape, and patent filing fees for the development of alternative fuels, energies, engines, and private transit options. America must lead the world in creating low-carbon and sustainable energies for the 21st century. I also support the Baker-Schulz Carbon Dividend Plan.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Cities, counties, states, and countries that have enacted strict gun control laws have seen crime rates go up, not down. Constitutional Carry states have the lowest crime rates, while "may issue" states with moderate gun control have more crime on average, and strict gun control states have the highest crime rates. Although all 15 of the 15 highest crime counties are run by gun control Democrats, a few counties and states (such as Vermont and Maine) have Democrat legislatures but little gun control and low crime rates.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Get government out of healthcare and return to a free market healthcare system as we had in the 1950's and 60's. Healthcare costs at that time cost only 5% of GDP, and almost all employers offered it. Today, after Obamacare, the FDA's 10-18 years approval process, the McCarren Ferguson Act of 1945, and endless regulation, red tape, litigation, etc, healthcare now costs over 19% of GDP. Less regulated areas of healthcare like Lasik, dentistry, chiropractic, and alternative medicines
No Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
About 40% of illegal immigrants are actually overstays. That is to say that they came here legally the first time, going through the criminal background check and medical screen first. Many of these overstays have filed to have their visas renewed, but have not gotten their paperwork back in time. Those without current legal paperwork should report to a local immigration center and make an appointment for a time extension. We need to reduce the amount of bureaucracy for those wanting to come here legally, or for those here on a student visa to obtain a work visa.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I am running for president in order to bring our troops home from the Middle East. Some of the servicemembers who are being sent over there and the people they're arresting or fighting weren't even born when the September 11th attack occurred.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Nearly all professional economists support free markets and free trade. International trade creates more new jobs in exports, transportation, manufacturing, materials engineering, medicine, finance, investment, and materials engineering than are lost from foreign competition. Free trade also forces domestic industries to reinvest in research and development to compete in the global marketplace. However, I'm opposed to managed trade deals like NAFTA and GATT, the details of which favor large corporate contributors who've included provisions which keep their costs down, rather than costs for consumers. Some of those deals also had very high implementation costs.
1. Bring the troops home from the Middle East. 2. Downsize government. The national debt is now over $26 trillion, coupled with an Entitlement Crisis of $70 trillion (est.), including unfunded pension obligations. There is no way to reduce this burden without ending hundreds of billions in political patronage. 3. Stop the breakdown of the American family. Children who are growing up in broken homes without a strong father figure are twice as likely to end up on drugs or drop out of high school, and three times as likely to end up in jail by the time they're 30.
