What is the Political Courage Test?

Nevada Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No abortion should be allowed after the detection of a heart beat. We, as a country, should make contraception devices and medications free. We should also make adoption much less expensive and give adoptive parents more protection from birth parents interruptions.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I support a balanced budget that allows for proper funding of Social Security and Medicare through payroll contributions and the repayment of those funds removed from the Social Security Trust Fund that were used to fund other programs.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes Do you support increasing defense spending?
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
This question is a double edged sword. I would like to see some education standards, but there are no qualified individuals to create those standards. Our education system is one of the worst in the world (see any recent data). It provides no discipline or respect for teachers. It provides little incentive for family involvement. It provides little if anything for the learning and development of life principles..... and it doesn't teach, but instead indoctrinates. It should be obvious that when Charter Schools and Private Schools turn out the best students, something is terribly wrong with the 'general' education system.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
The government need only provide the direction, incentives and the need for renewable energy as individuals with knowledge, ambition and creativity will do the rest in this capitalistic society because doing so will create income, jobs and profits.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I do support a tightened process for the transfer/sale of firearms in that ALL transfers/sales of firearms must be done through a licensed firearms dealer accompanied by a comprehensive background search and appropriate waiting period.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I do believe that unlawful immigrants that have been in this country for over 5 years, are gainfully employed or business owners, do not participate in any welfare programs and pay taxes ....or have served in our military... should be allowed to stay in this country and fast tracked into a citizenship program.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
By invading Iraq we upset the balance of power in the Middle East and it cannot be corrected. We waste our time, money and lives continuing this battle and need to get out. Subversiveness may be the only way we can control how things evolve in the future. Support of Israel is mandatory.
No Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Tariffs and quotas are essential to maintain trade balances and employement.
A balanced budget and balanced trade through the elimination of nonsensical spending on meaningless projects, eliminating support of countries that do not support us and using tariffs and quotas to balance trade and encourage 'in country' manufacture. Initiate incentives to encourage carbon reductions through renewable and other alternate means of creating energy. Create a program for Health Maintenance wherein all citizens pay into the program and receive from it NO cost doctor visits (General, Optical, Audiology and Dental) and NO cost prescriptions. By having a healthier citizenry we will reduce major medical expenses markedly.
