Congressman Becerra on LA Bid to Host 2024 Olympics: We've Done it Before and Can Do it Again, Even Better

Congressman Xavier Becerra (CA-34), Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, released the following statement on the City of Los Angeles launching its bid to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games:

"It's time to bring the Summer Olympic Games back to the United States. There are few places like Los Angeles that can successfully host a major international event of the magnitude of the Olympics. I'm confident that our city -- along with its people, workers, and leaders -- can get this done right. I thank the Mayor and our civic leaders for spearheading the effort to continue the City's proud Olympic tradition. We've done it before and we'll do it again, because we can say without hesitation that failure is not an option for LA and the Olympics."
