U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement today after President Obama vetoed a bill to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood:
"Once again, President Obama is placing politics ahead of what's best for the American people. Congress sent him a bill that repeals egregious taxes on the middle class, restores the doctor-patient relationship, and protects the lives of the unborn. Instead of patient-centered health care, this president wants the federal government to intrude on healthcare decisions, raise costs and taxes, and take choices away from West Virginia's families. I will continue to work on the House Appropriations Committee to defund the president's mandates, protect our freedoms, and provide truly affordable health care for all Americans."
