Bennet Statement in Honor of Veterans Day

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet issued the following statement today in honor of Veterans Day:

"Colorado is fortunate to be home to a large and proud veteran community. Tomorrow, Captain Florent A. Groberg will be awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary acts protecting a group of American and Afghan officials while serving with the 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Carson. His story is just one example of the many stories of bravery and self-sacrifice our veterans bring home with them after serving our country. Today is a special opportunity to take the time to stop and recognize the service of veterans in Colorado and throughout the country. It is also a day to think about what else we can be doing to fulfill our responsibility to make sure veterans have access to the care, support, and appreciation they earned and the opportunity they fought to protect."
