Chairman Becerra: Good News that Quarter of Americans Have a New Job; What's Missing is Rising Wages

Democratic Caucus Chairman Xavier Becerra (CA-34) released a statement, following the announcement from the Department of Labor that the economy added 242,000 jobs in February:

"The world around us is limping economically. America is not. A quarter of a million more Americans have a new job. That is good news. What we're missing is rising wages to ride side-by-side with our improving economy.

"This Congress isn't doing much, but at least it should concentrate on Job One: increasing jobs and increasing wages."
