Issue Position

Climate change is not just a national security issue for America, it is a threat to all humanity. Global warming is a real phenomenon and must be addressed NOW. Its effects have already had significant and harmful effects on our communities, our health, and our climate. Extreme storms and severe droughts are both increasing in uncommon areas causing higher sea levels, more wildfires, more heat waves, and declining agricultural productivity. However, practical solutions currently exist to slow the pace of global warming so we can pass on a healthier, safer world to future generations.

When elected to Congress I will:

Aggressively push the executive branch to lead the international community in the fight against climate change.
Support funding research to explore how to greater utilize renewable sources of energy.
