Ninth District Congressional candidate Shelli Yoder today announced that she raised $150,168 in the third fundraising quarter of 2015, which ended Sept. 30.

Yoder's donors include former Indiana Gov. and U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh, U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, Congressmen André Carson and John Yarmuth and former Congressman Lee Hamilton.

"The groundswell of support for my campaign to represent Hoosier families in Central and Southern Indiana has been overwhelming," Yoder said. "It's clear people are ready to send a public servant to Washington who will listen to what they need and make sure their voices are heard."

Yoder kicked off her campaign in mid-August and was in the race for just 45 days of the quarter She will report $145,396 cash on hand.

"The same way I've always advocated for a balanced budget as a Monroe County council member, I understand that these donations represent public trust in my campaign, and I'm going to be extremely careful to invest that support wisely," Yoder said. "Our campaign will always be focused on making sure Hoosiers in the Ninth District understand that I'm a different kind of Democrat who will always put their interests over special interests."
