Today the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees in Maryland (AFSCME-MD) endorsed Jamie Raskin's campaign for Congress in Maryland's 8th District.

"AFSCME Maryland is proud to support Jamie Raskin for Congress because he has built a track record of remarkable legislative success in Annapolis by fighting for landmark changes that help working families across our state," said Glen Middleton, International Vice President and Executive Director of AFSCME Coucil 67. "Our members are excited to get behind a progressive hero like Jamie Raskin and will be working hard to make sure we get all of our people to go vote on April 26th!"

AFSCME represents more than 48,000 state and county workers in the State of Maryland.

"What an honor to be endorsed by AFSCME, one of America's great unions," Senator Raskin said. "I look forward to working alongside their thousands of members on this campaign and in Congress. If I win, I will go to Congress to stop the demonizing and scapegoating of public employees at all levels and to stand up for the hard-working people who make American government work."
