I was honored to have the help of Kerri Kasem, the daughter of late radio icon Casey Kasem, in passing House Bill 2665. The bill gives children and other immediate family greater rights for visitation of and notices about adults who have had guardians appointed for them. The law should keep families together rather than driving a wedge between them; I'm humbled to have driven this unprecedented reform in Texas law.
