Second Amendment

Our founding fathers had it right the first time when they wrote the Constitution. The Second Amendment was written so we would have the ability to protect those rights. When we have a White House and liberal activists trying to undermine our rights, we need a leader of who will stand up for us. The late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was a steadfast supporter of that right -- from his early days on the bench, through his days on the highest court.

During his time in the Ohio House, Matt supported common sense legislation that removed restrictions for law abiding citizens who want conceal carry licenses and worked to protect the privacy of permit holders. Additionally, Matt worked to remove restrictions on licensing requirements for hunters and fought to expand hunting rights.

Matt supported House Bill 495 in 2012, a bill that approved reciprocity for concealed hand gun licenses from other states. It should be noted that Matt's opponent in this election did not show up to vote that day.

With an "A" rating from the NRA, Matt Huffman has earned the support of NRA Life Member Dan Reiff who has stated Matt "will defend our Second Amendment Rights no matter who gets in the way."

The Second Amendment states simply: "A well-regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Matt Huffman has a perfect voting record in protecting this fundamental right for Ohioans and deserves our support for the Ohio Senate.
