Rep. Rokita Statement on Supreme Court Abortion Ruling

Today, the Supreme Court issued a 5-3 decision in Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt, striking portions of a Texas law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital and meet standards for ambulatory surgical centers. Rep. Todd Rokita issued the following statement in response to the ruling.

"As a pro-life American, I am deeply disappointed in today's Supreme Court decision. This ruling undoes sensible provisions passed by Texans' elected representatives, and further jeopardizes women's health and the safety of unborn children. As a Member of Congress, I have and will continue to fight for the rights of the unborn."
