Issue Position

I believe in a taxpayer-friendly, pro-family government that will fight for our values. That's why I've always taken a lead in bipartisan efforts to cut taxes, reduce spending and run government more efficiently. In the State Senate, I've spent my career fighting for change -- for better, more compassionate services. I've never voted for a general tax increase and I never will. Since 2005, I've voted to return more than $1 billion each year to taxpayers. And I led the efforts to create tax relief for homeowners and small businesses. My commitment is to the hard-working taxpayers of South Carolina. And I'm ready to continue that fight.
