Issue Position: Focus on Sustainable Job Growth to Compete in The 21st Century Economy

Issue Position

Sam Brownback, during his run for a second term in 2014, promised his tax policies would bring 100,000 new jobs to Kansas by 2018. As of January 2016, new job creation in Kansas is around 700. In reality his tax cuts for the ultra-rich and corporate donors have brought job growth to a screeching halt. My real world experience in working to attract high tech jobs to the Midwest will serve me well in helping to bring Kansas back to common sense strategies for attracting the high quality jobs we need to shore up our economy for the long term.
