In just his first 6 months when elected in 2013, Ryan sucessfully secured passage of legislation overhauling how the state approaches economic development. Working closely with the RI Public Expenditure Council, a business backed group this was a major overhaul. He has followed championing tax and regulatory reforms each year in the budget to make Rhode Island more business friendly. He will continue this work while investing in key industries, education and job training.
