For decades leaders in government have echoed the mantra that spending must be reined in to avoid leaving future generations with a large bill. The next generation is now here. Thomas offers a new generation of leadership that understands the importance of fixing the spending problems which hold Michigan's future hostage.

Our state government seems to think the answer is to increase taxes. Increased taxes are not the solution. They merely reduce already stagnant incomes earned by Michigan families. Today's leaders need to make tough the choices necessary to reduce state spending to a sustainable level.
