The second amendment exists to allow citizens to protect themselves from anyone who would unjustly take life and property. It is the ultimate guarantee of the rest of the constitution and should be treated as such. I will fight to support our rights to keep and bear arms free of unreasonable laws, rules and regulations. I support concealed carry in public areas, but local boards should have the authority to designate gun free zones as they see fit. Our state is just too diverse for a top down, one size fits all strategy. Ultimately, guns are not the source of violence in our society, nor are they the solution.
