Issue Position

This past January, we had a great turnout for a fraud prevention forum that I hosted to educate seniors on how to avoid becoming victims of fraud. The conversation was mediated by members of the West Haven Police Department and by AARP. Last year, I also sponsored a Technology workshop to assist senior citizens with the latest electronic devices. At a time when advances in the way we communicate with our loved ones and friends continue to evolve, it is never too late to learn something new. In the near future advances in IT technology will make it possible for our seniors to remain independent much longer than they have been heretofore.
