After today's recount announcement, Christine Jones called Andy Biggs, and conceded the race in Arizona's Fifth Congressional District. Andy Biggs released the following statement:
"I congratulate Christine Jones on her hard-fought campaign to replace Congressman Matt Salmon. Running for office is a daunting task and requires hard work and determination. Christine demonstrated those qualities and more throughout the campaign."
"A short while ago I had an opportunity to speak with Christine. She graciously conceded the race and will no longer seek legal action. I am humbled by her decision and I wish her all of the best in her future endeavors."
