Rep. Jolly Urges Pinellas Elections Supervisor to Ensure Equal Access to Early Voting Sites

Press Release

Date: Oct. 5, 2016
Location: Seminole, FL

Congressman David Jolly (FL-13) today called on Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark to ensure that all communities throughout the county have equal access to early voting locations.

Rep. Jolly, a co-sponsor of the federal Voting Rights Amendment Act, thanked Mrs. Clark for her leadership on ensuring the integrity and validity of each vote while also ensuring increased accessibility to the ballot box through voting by mail, early voting, and multiple voting locations.

"Too often we hear of instances across the country where vulnerable communities encounter obstacles to free and fair elections," Jolly said. "Let's continue to ensure in Pinellas County that voting is as easy and accessible as possible while also protecting the integrity of each ballot cast."

Mail ballots are arriving this week to Pinellas County residents who have chosen the vote-by-mail option. Early voting begins in Pinellas County on October 24.
