Representative-Elect Andy Biggs Announces Eddie Farnsworth and Adam Deguire to Co-Chair Transition

Today, Andy Biggs, winner of the General Election in Arizona's Congressional District 5, announced the formation of his transition team. Mr. Biggs' transition team will be chaired by Arizona State Representative Eddie Farnsworth and Axiom Public Affairs Partner Adam Deguire.

Representative Farnsworth and Adam Deguire will be leading the efforts to identify top-tier candidates for the Congressman-elect's key staff positions, including Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, Communications Director, and District Director; and crafting Mr. Biggs' policy goals and legislative agenda for the upcoming Congressional session.

"Running for Congress was an amazing experience, and I am so grateful for the support and the assistance I received along the way by countless individuals," Biggs said. "As I move forward with the next chapter of this journey, my top priority is to ensure that the constituents of District 5 are served to the best of my ability and of the members of my incoming staff's abilities. That is why I am tasking Eddie and Adam with chairing my transition team over the next month and a half. I have full confidence that they will help me in identifying and selecting top-notch candidates for the vital positions in my office and in charting the course of my goals and agenda for the next two years. I am extremely grateful to Eddie and to Adam for their time, and I look forward to working with them in the days leading up to when I get sworn into office in January."

Adam Deguire Bio:

Adam Deguire served as Congressman Matt Salmon's chief of staff for three years. Prior to his role with Rep. Salmon, Deguire served as senior political aide for numerous federal and state campaigns throughout the country, including New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez. Deguire's political experience also includes positions as executive director and GOTV efforts for two different state Republican Party committees. In addition, he previously worked at the Republican National Committee and College Republican National Committee. A native Arizonan and proud Eagle Scout, Deguire graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Political Science. He lives in Mesa with his wife, Dawn.

Eddie Farnsworth Bio:

Eddie Farnsworth earned his Juris Doctor and his MBA from George Washington University after graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in economics. In Arizona, he has served as the President and Executive Director of the Benjamin Franklin Charter Schools, and he is licensed to practice law in the state. As a member of the Arizona State Legislature, Eddie Farnsworth has previous served as the House Majority Leader and the House Judiciary Committee Chairman. He has been named "Champion of the Taxpayer" by the American Federation of Taxpayers, and a "Friend of Liberty" by the Goldwater Institute.
