Good afternoon from Washington, D.C.!

As we complete the fifth week of the 115th Congress, here's an update on what we have done for Arizona's Fifth Congressional District.

First things first, sign up here to make sure you don't miss out on these regular newsletters.

LOOKING BACK:

This week, the House was in session for five days, and we covered a lot of ground. We primarily concentrated on rolling back regulations, rules and policies that have had a negative effect on Americans and their businesses, clearing the way for a renewed American economy and the creation of more jobs.

I was named to two subcommittees on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee this week. I am proud to be serving on the Subcommittee on Space and am honored to serve as the chairman of the Subcommittee on Environment.

Earlier in the week, I joined the Congressional Western Caucus, which provides a much-needed voice to our western states and ensures that their issues become Congressional priorities. As a member, I will focus on removing federal regulations that, for too long, have overburdened Arizonans and their businesses and been a hindrance to economic growth and job creation. I look forward to working with Chairman Paul Gosar to help accomplish the Caucus' agenda.

Today, I spoke on the House floor on Grant's Law -- watch here.
