Congressman Andy Biggs' Statement on NASA Transition Authorization Act Passage

Today, the House of Representatives passed the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Transition Authorization Act by voice vote. Among other provisions, this bill requires NASA to develop a plan for an eventual manned mission to Mars in the coming decades. Congressman Andy Biggs, a member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, released the following statement:

"Few achievements have inspired more pride than our nation's space program. The NASA Transition Authorization Act will allow our country to continue to dream big as we explore farther and farther into the solar system and beyond. I am thankful for Chairman Lamar Smith's work on this vital legislation and am proud to see it pass the House tonight."
