Today, Congressman Doug Lamborn issued the following statement following President Donald Trump's visit to a meeting of the House Republican Conference:

"I enjoyed hearing from President Trump during this morning's GOP Conference meeting. The President made a strong case about the importance of repealing and replacing Obamacare with a health care plan that reduces government control, lowers costs, and increases the choices available to the American people. It has been very encouraging to see the President working hard alongside House leadership and Members to make our American Health Care Act (AHCA) bill as conservative as it can be. The AHCA ends the individual mandate, blocks federal funding to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers, phases out Medicaid expansion, reduces regulations, and provides much-needed relief from the most onerous Obamacare taxes. We have pledged to repeal and replace Obamacare, and that is exactly the process the House will begin with our vote later this week."
