Rep. Rokita Statement on Confirmation of Dr. Tom Price for HHS Secretary

Today, Rep. Todd Rokita released the following statement after the confirmation of Dr. Tom Price for the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.

"I want to congratulate my friend and Budget Chair Dr. Tom Price on his confirmation for Health and Human Services Secretary.

"Dr. Price's career as a medical practitioner and as the Chairman of the House Budget Committee make him uniquely qualified for this position. I know that Dr. Price will continue to be a strong advocate for patient-centered healthcare reforms, and will be a valuable partner as we work to repeal the failing Obamacare laws and replace them with reforms that provide more choices and lower costs."

Rep. Rokita is the Vice Chairman of the House Budget Committee, and served alongside Dr. Price during his Chairmanship of the Committee from 2015-2017. During their tenure leading the Committee, Rep. Rokita and Dr. Price were able to write and send the first bicameral budget resolution in five years to the President's desk.
