Adams Statement on International Women's Day

Statement

Date: March 8, 2017
Issues: Women

"On this International Women's Day, women worldwide are taking a bold stance by wearing red and walking out of their offices, classrooms, boardrooms, and homes to recognize "a day without women' and remind everyone that women's rights are human rights," said Congresswoman Adams. "Women want equal pay, equal rights, paid family leave, and affordable healthcare. Today is a powerful reminder that it is time we put politics aside and work together to promote women's interests because when women succeed, America succeeds."
