Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement after the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) updated the score on the Republican bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

"Despite changes made to the Republican bill to repeal the ACA, the CBO once again confirmed our worst fears: millions of Americans will lose their health coverage if the bill passes," said Congresswoman Adams. "The amendments to the Republican bill do not protect healthcare coverage for the millions of Medicaid recipients who stand to lose it. These changes also do not address the loss in subsidies for moderate income families and further reduces coverage for our nation's seniors.

"Tomorrow, the House is scheduled to vote on the Republican repeal package that could strip millions of Americans of their healthcare. There is too much at stake for Mecklenburg County to sit quietly by. Continue to call, fax, email, and tweet your representatives to demand that they vote "no'."
