Statement

Date: March 1, 2018
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Foreign Affairs

Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-06) and Rep. Bill Johnson (OH-06), Co-Chairs of the Congressional Israel Victory Caucus, issued the following statement regarding the announcement that the United States Israeli Embassy will be relocated from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on May 14, 2018:

"Jerusalem is the eternal and undivided capital of Israel, and we are excited and encouraged that the United States will relocate our embassy there this Spring. This long overdue move will finally become a reality in May. It is only by recognizing Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state - with Jerusalem as her capital - that lasting peace in the Middle East can be achieved. We will continue to stand side by side with our ally and friend, Israel."
