In the Trump era, when too many people are facing increasingly hateful violence -- specifically in the black, brown, Native American, and the LGBTQ communities -- I will fight for justice, dignity, and safety for marginalized communities. We must ensure that our policies reflect the inclusion and kindness we want to see in America. That means demilitarizing our nation's police forces, legalizing marijuana for adults over 21, ensuring that we support the Department of Justice in investigating and prosecuting hate crimes and police violence that local jurisdictions ignore, and fighting discrimination at the national level wherever possible.
