Today at a press conference, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) slammed Democrats' document demands on Judge Brett Kavanaugh as a stall tactic. The attendees noted that the roughly one million documents expected to be produced on Judge Brett Kavanaugh will be the most from any Supreme Court nominee in history. Excerpts of Sen. Cornyn's floor remarks are below, and video can be found here.

"You might call this "The Great Paper Chase.'"

"For some of our Democratic colleagues, there will never be enough paper. You will never be able to produce enough to satisfy them."

"That is a judge who respects their important role in our government but understanding it is a limited role, and that is not to make policy, not to exploit the lifetime tenure that they have and the lack of political accountability to advance a political or ideological agenda, but one who will interpret the law including the Constitution as written."
