Restoring our national parks

Statement

National Parks personnel struggle constantly with the lack of funding to maintain lands and facilities they oversee. That is why I have joined Natural Resources Committee Chairman Rob Bishop (R-Utah) and Ranking Member Raúl Grijalva (D-Arizona) as a cosponsor of their Restore Our Parks and Public Lands Act. This bipartisan bill would fund the massive maintenance backlog at our National Parks and on other public lands. We are all entrusted to use our public lands responsibly today, and to conserve them for the use of those who come after us. Importantly, H.R. 6510 also addresses the deplorable conditions at many of the schools run by the federal Bureau of Indian Education. I congratulate Chairman Bishop and Ranking Member Grijalva for leading this bipartisan effort.Unknown
