I have long been an advocate for the humane treatment of animals. As a State Senator, I would continue that leadership by advocating for stronger laws to protect animals and crack down on deliberate acts of animal cruelty.

Pigeon Shoots: It's beyond time to end live pigeon shoots. Pennsylvania is one of a handful of states nationwide that still effectively allow this inhumane practice. The majority of Pennsylvanians and many sportsmen believe this practice is wrong. We need an explicit ban on these pigeon shoots now.

Puppy Retail Sales: We can go a long way to creating a more humane society by creating more humane pet markets. Pennsylvania needs to strengthen its laws to protect consumers, promote animal welfare, and end black market puppy sales.
