Issue Position: The 9th and 10th Amendments to The Constitution for The United States

Issue Position

At the core of "Local Control" and "Personal Responsibility" are these two great Constitutional Amendments.

Amendment IX -- The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X -- The powers not delegated to the united States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I can add no more to these powerful words, "We the People" and our State Legislature have power over all things within the borders of our State, other than those limited powers granted to the congress by Article I Section 8 of the Constitution. The Founding Fathers added these Amendments for a purpose and the States would not have ratified the Constitution had they not been added. We learned these things in school, now some children in this great country are being taught to believe differently and various federal government departments and agencies support the misleading.

My entire campaign is based on the fact that our State and "We the People" can say "NO" to the out of control, overreaching federal government when it mandates anything to our State outside the power given to them by the People.
