Issue Position: Education

Education is the #1 priority of the state budget. Approximately 55% of the state budget is spent on education. $745 million dollars have been added to education in Iowa since 2011.

I led the fight during the 2018 legislative session and delivered legislation on equity funding for our schools. The bill was passed with bi-partisan support, this will provide additional funding for Scott County schools.

I voted in support of the teacher leadership program.
