Rep. Beverly was recently appointed the Chair of the Poverty and Inequality Committee which will allow him to work with other like-minded legislators to shape policies to move people out of poverty and to eliminate inequity in our region. This appointment comes on the heels of Beverly's 2012 legislation which created the Macon-Bibb Community Enhancement Authority, which will work to provide economic development and infrastructure for local communities.
