A decade ago South Carolina politicians and regulators put consumers on the hook for billions of dollars in payments for a nuclear power plant that will now, never be built, and that they will never see a kilowatt of energy from. We need to repeal the Base Load Review Act prospectively and roll back rates for ratepayers immediately, even if temporarily, until we find a long term solution to our energy problems.
