Wyoming spends more per student than many other states. Further cuts to K-12 spending should be made at the administrative level.

Amending the Constitution
I have no objection to letting the people of Wyoming speak for or against local funding for schools. Schools belong to the people, not the legislature. Let the people speak on this expensive issue.

Teacher Salaries
Teacher Salaries need to be maintained at a competitive level in the market so that our schools attract and retain fine teachers.

School District Consolidation
In an ideal situation this would not be considered but given the option of further cuts that directly impact teaches and students or cuts that impact administrative positions, I say consolidate.

Rural Education
When we compare rural states like Wyoming with urban states the cost per capita of most services is often high. We need to keep that in mind.
