Climate Change is the most pressing challenge that we as a state, nation, and global community face. It will take bold solutions and hard work to save our planet, but we only have one chance. That's why I've long supported efforts to transition Vermont to a renewable energy future, generating power at home while harnessing the wind, sun, hydro, and other renewable solutions. Beyond doing our part to fight climate change through renewable energy, I have also worked to protect the environment from pollution. That's why I have voted to increase regulation on toxic chemicals in children's toys and consumer goods, and to hold those responsible to account for damaging public drinking water.

In the Senate I will continue to work with scientists and environmentalists to fight climate change, clean up our waterways, and preserve Vermont's natural way of life for future generations. We have a moral and economic imperative to do so.
