Banks: Time for a Pro-Life NIH Director

Statement

Date: Dec. 18, 2018
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today issued the following statement regarding recent comments by National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Dr. Francis Collins that defended using baby body parts for taxpayer-funded research:
"It is clear that NIH Director Francis Collins is not the right fit for a pro-life administration. His comments defending the use of aborted baby body parts in taxpayer-funded research are reprehensible. Using federal tax dollars to fund research that requires the body parts of aborted children is immoral and goes against the values of this administration. President Trump, it is time for Francis Collins to go."
The comments by Dr. Collins, which were published by Science Magazine, can be found here.
